New Year and new draft (NFL)

There is a lot of good talent in this years pool. I have no intentions of making a mock this early in the year. I will watch the scouting combine on channel 212 on Direct TV and then start making some decisions. I will make one prediction. There will be some major trading that will happen in this years draft.

Draft 2005

It was interesting to see that there wasn't as many trades as I had expected. Two things really caught my eye in this years draft. For some reason, the Bears decided to take Cedric Benson for their first pick. With Thomas Jones and Anthony Thomas already in their backfield, why in the world didn't the Bears jump on a good receiver? Edwards may have already been gone, but there were still two great receiver left.

The Detroit Lions may now have the three best receivers in the NFL. With the 10th overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select: Mike Williams - Wide Receiver - USC

If Charles Rogers stays healthy and Joey Harrington can throw halfway accurrate passes, the NFC Central has a new contender. Their defense has always been there and now their offense has just jumped to the next level!
